This Week: Free AI Video Generation

Hey guys, this week marked a huge milestone in content creation, free and easy video creation. Now it’s only a matter of time before we get this via api and can use openrouter or openai for free video generation. Then instead of posting 20 text and image posts per day, we’ll be posting reels, shorts, tiktoks and videos with our X and threads account. Let’s get deeper below:

Sora AI: Free Video Creation for Everyone

OpenAI just made Sora available to everyone through Microsoft's Bing Mobile app. You can now generate 5-second vertical videos from simple text prompts completely for free. This version gives you 10 "fast" generations per session plus unlimited "standard" ones, and they're planning to add horizontal video support soon.

If you're a ChatGPT Plus subscriber, you can already create 10-second 720p clips on the main Sora platform. Pro users get even more—20-second 1080p videos, full storyboard tools, and the ability to remix and blend content. This is massive. High-quality video creation just became as accessible as generating images, and it's happening right now.

What This Actually Means

Content creation just reached a huge milestone. Instead of spending hours filming and editing, you can literally feed a script to ChatGPT, have it create a video through Sora, and upload it straight to Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or TikTok. The aspect ratios are already optimized for social media so you can pump out content all day without ever paying any money.

I'm already ready to build this into my workflow using tools like Pipedream, Make, and n8n, combined with ChatGPT and Openrouter. Once I fully integrate Sora via api, I'll be cranking out daily videos completely automated. It’s just a matter of months, maybe even weeks.

Where This Is Heading

We're looking at a fundamental shift in how content works. When creating video becomes as cheap and easy as creating an image, everything changes. Automated Reels, constant Shorts, personalized ads, user-generated-style content, all day, all night.

OpenAI isn't slowing down either. They're rolling out storyboard editors, remix features, and mobile demos that can generate videos directly on your phone through Bing. This technology is moving fast, and once it scales to consistent 20-second horizontal videos, there's no going back to the old way of doing things.
